Hi, I’m Nicole and I’m a photographer. My favourite photos are any with people in them, being able to capture the personality and beauty in the people I photograph is something very special.
Like every other photographer will tell you, I picked up a camera at a very young age. I loved playing with angles and perspective and honestly taking photos of some very boring things. But, I always gravitated towards people. I took portraits of my parents, my sister and my cousins. Annoying them until I got what I thought was the perfect shot.
Now my approach is a little different, a little less intrusive I hope. My motivation in every shoot, is not just to get the perfect photo, but to make sure everyone feels as comfortable as possible in front of a camera. As someone who doesn’t like having their photo taken myself, I tackle every session with empathy and a bit of fun.
I went to uni to study photography at Deakin University in 2016 and graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Photography), then completed an internship at The Photo Studio in Fitzroy.
Capturing special moments will always be my motivator. To look back from the future and see ourselves captured in time.
